COBIT® 2019 Foundation introduces the concepts, principles and methodologies used to establish, enhance and maintain an effective system for the governance and management of enterprise information and technology.
COBIT helps organisations align information and technology goals with wider business objectives while balancing value, resources and risk. It provides a flexible governance system that can work alongside established standards and frameworks, including ITIL and NIST, rather than replacing them.
The course explores the COBIT framework, governance system principles and components, governance and management objectives, performance management, implementation and the design of a governance system tailored to an organisation’s needs.

The COBIT 2019 Foundation examination assesses your understanding of the concepts, principles and methodologies used to establish, enhance and maintain an effective system for the governance and management of enterprise information and technology.
Candidates who pass the examination receive the COBIT 2019 Foundation Certificate from ISACA.
Existing holders of an ISACA CISA, CISM, CGEIT or CRISC certification may claim two Continuing Professional Education credits after passing the examination.
There are no formal prerequisites for this course. It is suitable for professionals and other stakeholders interested in the governance and management of enterprise information and technology.

No. There are no formal prerequisites, and the course introduces the COBIT framework, terminology, principles and governance system from Foundation level.
The closed-book examination contains 75 multiple-choice questions and lasts 120 minutes. A score of 65% or higher is required to pass.
