Mastering IT Support Delivery webinar

Description

Adam Sawle hosts the latest in our series of specialist webinars introducing the Mastering IT Support Delivery (MISD) curriculum. Adam has the honour of introducing Noel Bruton, the scheme author who will explain to the webinar attendees the need for a pragmatic approach to IT support delivery and how the MISD qualification scheme services this need.

MISD is relevant to any IT department or industry service provider. This is because it focuses purely on the ‘How To’ of technical workgroup management and IT support, it operates in tandem with, or without all other IT management frameworks.

Whilst covering the whole MISD curriculum we will also specifically focus on the Operational Manager course (OMC), through which the philosophical basis of management is given the tools to express itself. This covers the how-to instructions of leading a team, orchestrating resources, developing skillsets, developing procedures, understanding dependencies, allying with other departments in the support machine. OMC is specifically aimed at leaders of technical workgroups including helpdesk, Service desk, all second line, and what are sometimes known as ‘third’ line functions; how to manage and co-ordinate demands and resources.

Specifically the webinar will cover:
  • Welcome and introduction
  • Why is MISD different?
  • The MISD qualification scheme
  • Operational Manager course
    • What is it?
    • Who is it for?
    • The benefits of blended learning
    • OMC course content
  • What next?
  • Q & A
