Description

The ITIL® 4 Foundation self-paced e-learning course is designed as an introduction to ITIL 4 and enables candidates to look at IT service management through an end-to-end operating model for the creation, delivery and continual improvement of tech-enabled products and services. ITIL 4 takes candidates through a service value system which provides a holistic picture of what it really means to contribute to business value.

ITIL 4 Foundation candidates will have an understanding of the following:

  • A holistic approach to the co-creation of value with customers and other stakeholders in the form of products and services
  • The Guiding principles of ITIL 4
  • The four dimensions of service management
  • Key concepts from Lean IT, Agile, DevOps, and why these are important to deliver business value
  • How ITIL practices described in ITIL 4 will maintain the value and importance provided by the current ITIL processes, whilst at the same time expand to be integrated to different areas of service management and IT, from demand to value.

Modules

The ITIL4 Foundation e-learning course includes 5 Interactive Modules, totaling over 9 hours of study. The 5 Modules are as follows:

  1. Introduction to ITIL4
  2. Key Concepts of Service Management
  3. The Key concepts of ITIL4
  4. Guiding Principles
  5. ITIL4 Management Practices

Alongside the interactive modules, students are provided with comprehensive exam preparation, practical exercises and case studies.

Licence
The customer is granted a non-exclusive non-transferable licence to access designated training material. Training material is supplied for the use of the registered student(s) only. Access licences are granted for an initial period of six months unless otherwise stated.

Cancellation & Transfers
Once an allocated e-Learning license has been accessed it cannot be cancelled or transferred. 

 

Exam

On order, an exam voucher will be provided to enable the student to book a web-proctored, online exam at a time and date that suits them.

  • 40 questions
  • Multiple-choice
  • Closed book
  • 65% pass mark (26 out of 40)

The exam will be administered through PeopleCert's ExamShield application for which there are a few recommendations:

  • Download and install the application at the earliest opportunity.
  • Run the application's inbuilt software compatibility check well in advance of the exam.
  • Avoid using a corporate device which may have security policies in place which could effect the working of the application.
